Solstead

Rooted in slower living

A LIFE WORTH NOTICING

Solstead is a journal for the things worth noticing — the places we call home, the people we meet, the things we make, and the small moments that make up a life.

Rooted in storytelling and a slower way of living, this is a place to look a little closer, stay a little longer, and find meaning in the ordinary.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Savannah Profile

I’m Savannah, a journalist and visual storyteller with a background in long-form reporting, photography, editorial design, and multimedia storytelling.

Growing up on a ranch in California shaped both the way I live and the way I tell stories. It taught me to pay attention to the land, the people around me, and the details of everyday life that are easy to overlook. That perspective became the foundation for Solstead.

Here, I explore slower living through stories about home, food, craft, people, and place — combining journalism, photography, and personal experience to document the things that make everyday life meaningful.

Solstead is an extension of the work I’ve always been drawn to: thoughtful storytelling, genuine curiosity, and taking the time to look a little closer.
